If you’ve never been to our office before, we can help! Using the Gaithersburg Public Library as a starting point, you could go either way and reach us in about 15 minutes:

  1. Get onto Montgomery Village Ave heading north, then turn right onto Midcounty Highway. Follow it around a bend, then turn left onto Woodfield Rd. After that curves all the way north, turn right onto Warfield Rd. When you get to the roundabout, exit at the first possible right. We’re in the second building on the right after the roundabout, at 6856 Olney Laytonsville Rd.

Turn right onto Village Ave and enjoy the winding road for 2.4 miles before turning left onto Woodfield Rd. Take the first right onto Warfield Rd, and now you’re following the same directions again. We look forward to serving you!

A Brief History of Laytonsville, MD

Despite being such a cozy small town (with a population of fewer than 400 residents), Laytonsville has been at the crossroads of Maryland history for more than two centuries. The intersection in the northern district of town is on the route to major metropolitan areas like Baltimore, Washington, and the Potomac.

Layton’s original name was Cracklintown for the area’s popular cracklin bread (basically bacon cornbread), and the original town was larger than the modern Laytonville. The first church, school, and store were located along Sundown Road.

Successful farming in the area and the construction of the road that would become Route 108 were key factors in the town’s development. Laytonsville farmers enjoy fertile and well-drained soil with a red clay subsoil that helps to hold moisture in hot, dry summers. The town was finally incorporated in 1892.

Laytonsville: Small Town, Big Charm

A great local place to bring the family for a picnic or an afternoon visit is Warecada Brewing Company. On the site of Camp Warecada (short for Washington Recreational Day Camp) from the early ‘50s, Warecada Brewing is now one of the area’s best equestrian barns and riding lesson facilities. As a brewery, they have high standards and aim to be as low-waste as possible, using green energy, recycled products, and local grain and hops.

It’s a great location for events, or you could attend a concert and reserve a table or lawn space for your picnic blanket. They offer fitness classes and horseback riding, and you’ll be enjoying the beautiful scenery. It will be a wonderful day to remember when you visit.

Another great place to go in Laytonsville if you’re in the mood for pizza is Julliano’s Italian Cafe & Brick Oven Pizza. Why go to a chain restaurant when you can eat local at a family-owned place? Julliano’s is a hidden gem located just a couple of doors down from our practice! The pizza is delicious, the staff is friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere is warm and cozy.
